Frequently Asked Questions
What are these text tools?
They're browser-based utilities for working with text — things like counting words, changing capitalization, cleaning up messy formatting, converting CSV to JSON, or generating placeholder content. No installs, no sign-up required for most of them.
Are all the tools free?
Almost all of them, yes. A handful of advanced tools are marked as Pro, but the vast majority — including the word counter, case converter, find & replace, and all the cleaning tools — are completely free.
Do I need to create an account?
Nope. You can use any free tool without signing in. An account lets you save your work and mark favorites, but it's not required to get started.
Which tool should I use to clean up messy text?
Depends on what's messy. Remove Extra Spaces handles double spaces and stray tabs. Remove Empty Lines clears out blank lines between paragraphs. Remove Duplicate Lines is handy for lists with repeats. Trim Text strips whitespace from the start and end. There's also Remove HTML Tags if you're pasting from a webpage.
Can I use these on my phone?
Yes — the tools are responsive and work on mobile browsers. Paste your text, get your result, copy it out. Some of the more complex tools (like CSV converters) are easier with a bigger screen, but they all function on mobile.
What's the difference between the word counter and the other tools?
The word counter lives on the homepage and does more than just count — it tracks reading time, sentence count, keyword density, and readability. The other tools are focused utilities: you paste text in, it does one specific thing, and you copy the result.
I need to convert text between formats. Where do I start?
For CSV work, try the CSV ↔ JSON Converter or Text ↔ Columns Converter. For encoding, Base64 / Hex / Binary Converter covers the common ones. For markup, there's Convert Text ↔ HTML and Markdown ↔ Text Converter. The Data & CSV and Formatting sections in the sidebar are a good place to browse.
Is my text stored anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser — your text never leaves your device unless you explicitly save a document while signed in. Even then, it's stored in your own account, not used for anything else.
